Features

Habits

Build routines with flexible schedules, streaks and goals — and log exactly what you did each time, from a simple yes/no to a full table like a workout log.

Creating a habit

Go to Habits → Habits and click the add button. A name and a frequency are enough; everything else is optional. Habits are personal: they follow you whatever workspace is selected.

OptionDescription
NameRequired. Shown on the habit card and in the calendar.
ColourUsed on the card, the heatmap and calendar events.
Category tagOptional label to group habits.
FrequencyHow often the habit is due — see below.
Start dateOptional. Completions before it are ignored for streaks.
Show in calendarShows the habit as an event — see below.
Tracking fieldsWhat you log each time you complete it.
GoalsTargets to work toward.

Frequency

OptionDescription
Every dayDue every day.
Specific days of the weekOnly due on the days you pick (e.g. Mon, Wed, Fri).
Every X daysDue every N days from the start date.

Streaks and strength

A streak counts consecutive scheduled occurrences you completed — each day the habit is due. Today only breaks the streak once the day is over.

The percentage shown on each habit is its strength. Every scheduled occurrence you complete raises it a little, every one you miss lowers it a little, and recent ones count most. It climbs gradually — for a daily habit, about 50% after two weeks in a row, 80% after a month and over 95% after two months — and fades back towards 0 if you stop. Today only counts once it's done. When the habit has goals, their progress is averaged in.

Your longest streak is kept as a personal record, separately from the current one.

Tracking fields

Tracking fields capture what you did each time you complete a habit. When you check the habit, a short form opens with its enabled fields — fill in what you want, or skip.

Default fields

Every habit comes with ready-made fields you can switch on: Reps, Duration (min), Mood, Energy, Difficulty and Note.

Custom fields

Create your own fields with one of these types:

OptionDescription
NumberA value per completion (e.g. 5.2 km, 30 pages).
TextA free note per completion.
BooleanYes / no. Left unticked, it is saved as “No”.
ListA table you fill with as many rows as you need each time — Pro plan.

Plan limits

Custom fields need Plus (up to 10 per habit) or Pro (unlimited). List fields are Pro only; a list field you already have keeps working after a downgrade.

List fields (tables)

A list field is a table whose columns you define — for example a workout with Exercise · Sets · Reps · Weight (kg). Each time you complete the habit you add one or more rows.

OptionDescription
Text columnFree text, with suggestions from what you typed before.
Number columnA number, with an optional unit (kg, min, km…).
Choice columnOne of the options you define (2 to 30).
Yes / No columnA checkbox.

A table has 1 to 10 columns, which you can reorder and edit later without losing what you logged. Choose the column the analytics are split by (for instance Exercise) — or none. When logging, duplicate a row for each set, or Repeat last session to start from your previous rows. Up to 50 rows per completion.

Each number is compared with the last time you did the same thing — same value in the split-by column (or the same text answers when there is none), the 2nd set with the 2nd set. A green or red badge shows the increase or decrease in percent, while you log and in your past sessions.

Goals

Manual goals

A target in your own words (e.g. “run a half marathon”). You mark it as reached yourself.

Field-based goals

Tied to one or more number fields with a target total (e.g. 100 km). Flowline adds up what you log; once reached, a trophy appears and you can claim the goal.

End on reach

With “End on reach”, the habit's percentage follows progress toward the goal instead of the daily schedule.

The Free plan allows 5 goals per habit; Plus and Pro are unlimited.

Habits in the calendar

Turn on “Show in calendar” to see the habit as an event on its scheduled days:

OptionDescription
Fixed timeAt a set time, with a duration.
Relative to eventRight before or right after one of your calendar events.

Completed occurrences show a checkmark. The habit's colour is used.

Analytics

Habits → Analytics shows a yearly heatmap of all your habits. Each habit's own page shows its calendar, goals and tracking analytics, which adapt to each field:

OptionDescription
NumberBar or line chart with total, average and best.
BooleanShare of “Yes” answers per day or month.
TextMost frequent answers — or a journal of your latest entries when they are all different.
ListEvolution of a number column (total, best or average) per group, a summary per group with your record and trend, how other columns were answered, and your latest sessions as tables.

Archiving

Archive a habit you no longer follow to hide it without losing its history; restore it anytime from the archive. Deleting a habit removes it and its history for good.
